The Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) of the Republic of Indonesia awarded PT Dexa Medica in the category of business doer, in Balai Kartini, Jakarta, on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. The award was given by the head of BPOM, Penny K. Lukito and accepted by Raymond Tjandrawinata, the Director of Dexa Laboratories of Biomolecular Sciences (DLBS), and witnessed by the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister, Asman Abnur.

The award is a token of appreciation from BPOM because Dexa Medica have supported the development of extract raw material and phytopharmaca products. Also attended at the event, President Director Dexa Medica, Ferry Soetikno.

The Head of BPOM said that this award was given in the spirit of partnership to the parties which have been actively participated to take part in the supervision of drugs and food in Indonesia. Those parties are ministries/ institutions, agencies, local governments, community, businessmen, and the media.

This BPOM's Award is the second award that was accepted by Dexa Medica after receiving the “Innovation for the National Drugs Development Award" in 2015. PT Dexa Medica very committed to the development of phytopharmaca products. PT Dexa Medica has produced four out of eight phytopharmaca drugs in Indonesia, namely; Inlacin, Stimuno, Levitens, and Resindex.

In the event which take the theme of "Building the Innovation and Partnership to Support the Increasement of Effectiveness of Drugs and Food Supervision", Penny K. Lukito deliver a speech that said her institution will optimized every support from every part of the nation in the act of drugs and food supervision. "That is why today BPOM once again strengthen the partnership with various agencies, as a part of increasing surveillance of drugs and food," she explained.

This partnership is confirmed in the MoU with: (1) Attorney General's Office about Cooperation and Coordination in Order to Support the Execution of Duties and the Function of BPOM, particularly in the term of law enforcement of criminal act in the field of Drugs and Food; (2) Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration Ministry to collectively empower the villagers in the field of food security; (3) Home Ministry about the Cooperation of Utilization of Population Identification Number, Population Data, and Electronic ID Card in the BPOM's Scope of Duties; and (4) Indonesia Market Management Association (Asparindo), to cooperate in the field of supervision and development in the context of safe traditional drug, cosmetics, health supplement, and food distribution in the people's market.
