To increase production capacity and the regulation of the pharmaceutical industry to comply the independence and affordability of medicines including vaccines in countries which are members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Food and Drug Supervisory Agency of Indonesia held The First Meeting of Heads of National Medicines Regulatory Authorities (NMRAs) from OIC. PT Dexa Medica also attended and participated by opening a booth on event that held at the Fairmont Hotel Jakarta 21-22 November  2018.

The meeting will be convened in response to the persistent situation in OIC Member Countries to consider being self-reliant and self-sufficient in their medicine availability programmes including immunization programmes by ensuring the reliable supply of good quality, safe, effective and affordable medicine including vaccines by strengthening National Regulatory Authorities.

The conference with theme "Strengthening collaboration amongst The OIC NMRAs towards self-reliance of Medicines and Vaccines" intend a result for have an agreement on the strategies and steps to achieve self-reliance in providing acess and ensure availability of medicines and vaccines with assured quality, safety, and efficacy in OIC countries.

The event was officially opened by the Minister of Health, Mrs. Nila Moloek, Head of BPOM RI, Mrs. Penny Lukito and representatives of the OIC Secretariat in front of the participants, which was attended by 32 OIC member states, institutions of OIC, international development partners (WHO, UNICEF and IDB), as well as the association of pharmaceutical industry and vaccines of the OIC member countries, including PT Dexa Medica. The meeting was also attended by Dexa Group CEO, Mr. Ferry Soetikno, along with the management of Dexa Group.

In her speech, Mrs. Penny hope this cooperation can going well to development of new products or certain types of vaccine products that can not be produced in the OIC region. "We can jointly piloting, and is also expected to boost the development of biological medicinal products, and biotechnology, as well as natural medicines (herbs, standardized herbal medicine, fitofarmaka), especially with a wealth of natural diversity of Indonesia." Said Mrs. Penny.
