:: COMPOSITIONS ::

Each film-coated tablet contains:
Tenoxicam 20 mg

 
:: INDICATIONS ::

TIFLAM is indicated to symptomatic treatment of painful inflammatory and degenerative disorder of the musculoskeletal system as follows:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Ankylosing spondylitis
  • Extra-articular disorders, e.g. tendinitis, bursitis, periarthritis of shoulder (shoulder hand syndrome), and hips, strains, and sprains.
 
:: CONTRAINDICATIONS ::
  • Patients known to be hypersensitive to this drug.
  • Patients who suffering or have suffered from severe disease of the upper gastrointestinal tract, e.g. gastric and duodenal ulcer gastritis.
  • Elderly patients, patients with risk of kidney failure, patients with increased risk of bleeding on anesthesia or surgery.
  • Patients in whom salicylates or other NSAIDs induce symptoms of asthma, rhinitis, or urticaria.
 
:: DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATIONS ::

20 mg once daily (except for gout arthritis).

Maintenance or long-term treatment dose:
10 mg once daily.

Recommended dose for gouty arthritis:
40 mg once daily for 2 days, followed by 20 mg once daily for a further 5 days.

 
:: WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS ::
  • The long-term treatment should be avoided.
  • It is necessary to adequately monitor renal function when giving NSAIDs to the elderly or to patients with conditions that could increase their risk of developing renal failure.
  • Pregnant women and lactation.
 
:: ADVERSE REACTIONS ::

Gastralgia, nausea, diarrhea, urticaria, pruritus, rash, headache and dizziness.
