:: COMPOSITION ::

KETOROLAC 10 mg
Each ampoule (1 ml) contains ketorolac tromethamine 10 mg

KETOROLAC 30 mg
Each ampoule (1 ml) contains ketorolac tromethamine 30 mg

 
:: INDICATIONS ::

For the short-term (< 5 days) management of acute severe pain.

 
:: DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION ::

Bolus intravenous doses should be given over at least 15 seconds. Intramuscular injection should be given in deep and slow injection.

Intramuscular short-term treatment of pain, initially 30-60 mg, then followed by 15-30 mg every 6 hours, if needed. Maximum dose 120 mg daily. For moderate post-operation pain may be given 30 mg. For patients with severe post-operation pain may be given 90 mg. Maximum duration of treatment for 5 days.

 
:: CONTRAINDICATION ::
  • Hypersensitive to ketorolac tromethamin and/or to aspirin or another NSAIDs.
  • Patients with or have history of acute peptic ulcer, GI hemorrhage or perforation.
  • Severe renal dysfunction or risk of renal failure.
  • Patients with cerebrovascular disease, hemorrhagic diathesis.
  • Patient on birth delivery.
  • Lactation.
  • Concomitant use with NSAIDs & probenecid, and lactation.
  • Intrathecal or epidural route.
 
:: WARNINGS AND PRECAUTION ::

It should be used with caution in patients on anticoagulant therapy or with hemophilia, patients with hemostasis disorder (due to hematologic events), heart disease, acute renal failure, hypertension or other conditions related to fluid retention, hepatic dysfunction or a history of hepatic disease, and children less than 16 year.

 
:: ADVERSE EFFECTS ::

Ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding & perforation, post surgical hemorrhage, acute renal failure, anaphylactoid reaction, liver failure.

KETOROLAC 10 mg. Box, 10 ampoules 10 mg/ml @ 1 ml.

KETOROLAC 30 mg. Box, 10 ampoules 30 mg/ml @ 1 ml.
